Im back from my short self-imposed exile from the internet. I spent part of the time scanning some of my hundreds of photos. I uploaded about a hundred to my Photo website. The quality isnt very good because mmost of them were taken with crappy cameras. Here are a couple from the late 80s when I fisrt moved to Austin:

I dont mind at all. That was one of the best times in my life. I moved to Austin from a small rural town and finally found people that were like me. It was a crazy, fun time.

I was actually contemplating doing the same and taking a sabbatical away from the pc but im such a computer person its so hard. I go nutz with out access to my email - I cant imagine all the other goodies being gone. I've done it before on vacations but i dont about having a computer in my room and not touching it and petting the keys then turning it on and well ok maybe not

I was having withdrawl several hours after I started. Im online way too much. Its much easier than reading or doing something constructive. Im limiting my online time to the evenings for the next few weeks.

I think I will try that also. I hate jumping online at 7 pm then looking at the clock and it be 4 am . Usually I try to be productive and read or sell things online but lately i've been the chatter and lj junkie. Reading online is a lot more easier than in bed or on the couch. I used to do all my reading while relaxing in the bathtub but then I started to fall asleep in there and some of my books got a little wet...yay me!

Wow, that's the side of that club on 6th. Right? What was the name? Any of those hell house people?

It was called "curfew". It was my Club 54. The stories I could tell...

All of those people either lived in Hell House or came to stay on the weekends. We regularly had 10-15 people come from houston, san antonio and dallas to stay with us on the weekends.

The building that Curfew was in is now the Hard Rock Cafe. Makes me ill.

Curfew, that's right. That girl in the middle in the bottom pic- Is her name Leslie? She looks like someone that hung out with your place when you lived w/ Rob and Chas.

That's Leslie. She was one of my first friends when I moved to Austin. I should have married her when I had the chance.

Wow. I went back and looked at every single pic. I never got to know most of the people but there's a lot of familiar faces. It brings back a lot of memories I had forgoten about. The girl in the greenish/yellow sweater looks familiar too (scan0007). Thanks for the pics!

That is Daphne. She was my girlfriend Jean's (hellhouse scan0008) best friend. You may have met her at some point.

Tonight or tomorrow Im going to go back and list who is in each picture and when and where it was taken. Glad you like them.

Hahahah, just went to your photo site and saw you have a hell house folder! I saw Patti a few years ago. She's lost weight since then. I heard Gina's still around too.
